If you hold a master licence and wish to temporarily increase the number of security operatives you are authorised to provide, you can apply for a Temporary Excess Provision of Services (TEPS) permit.
TEPS permits are limited to a specific day or a specified period. You can use the Public Register of Licences to verify TEPS permits.
SLED must receive TEPS permit applications at least one full working day before the specified period is due to begin, for example permits requested for work over a weekend must be lodged with SLED by the close of business on the Thursday before.
TEPS permits cost $150 a day, or part of a day, for each day within the specified period.
Your TEPS permit must be approved before you can provide the additional security operatives.
If you can’t apply for your TEPS permit online, you can apply by sending an application form to SLED.
