Appeal for information over offences on Sydney's public transport - Police Transport Command

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations into two unlinked incidents on the bus and the rail network of Sydney’s north-west are underway.
- About 2pm on Thursday 10 July 2025, an unknown man stole a laptop from a 35-year-old man at Stanmore Railway Station.
- About 8am on Tuesday 18 February 2025, a 35-year-old man was at a bus stop at the intersection of M2 motorway and Barclay Road, North Rocks, when he was assaulted by an unknown man.
As inquiries continue, officers attached to Police Transport Command North West have released images of two people who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
- The man at Stanmore Railway Station is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of thin build and has facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, a black at and a black backpack.
- The man in North Rock is described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his late 40s to 50s and bald. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and a black suit jacket.
