Critical incident investigation underway following crash - Bradbury

A critical incident investigation is underway after a man died following a crash in Sydney’s south west.

Just after 1.15pm today (Tuesday 14 December 2021), officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attempted to stop a Suzuki motorcycle on St Johns Road, Bradbury.

The rider allegedly failed to stop as directed and a pursuit was initiated.

A short time later police lost sight of the Suzuki, before it was located crashed into a fence at the intersection of Jacaranda and Cedar Avenue, Bradbury.

The rider – a 48-year-old man – was arrested at the scene.

While speaking with police, the man lost consciousness.

Officers commenced CPR; however, despite their efforts, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and a critical incident team from Camden Police Area Command will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident.

That investigation will be subject to an independent review.
