Fatal two-vehicle crash - Agnes Banks

A crime scene has been established following a fatal two-vehicle crash in Sydney’s north west.

About 3.50pm today (Monday 13 December 2021), emergency services were called to Castlereagh Road, Agnes Banks, following reports a Holden Commodore and a Nissan utility with a trailer had collided.

The driver of the Holden – a 36-year-old man – died at the scene.

The sole passenger of the Holden – a seven-year-old boy – was taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.


The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan – a 22-year-old man – was also taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Castlereagh Road is closed, and local traffic diversions are in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for updates.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police immediately.

A report will now be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
