CCTV released as search for missing Central Coast man continues

Police have released CCTV footage as they continue to appeal for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Tuggerah Lakes area.
Bernard Anable, aged 82, left his home on Rushby Street in Bateau Bay about 5pm on Tuesday (4 January 2022).
Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District commenced an investigation into his whereabouts when he was reported missing by family.
Extensive land searches have been conducted by NSW Police, PolAir, Police Dog Unit, Operation Utah officers, SES Volunteers, VRA, NSW Rural Fire Service and Westpac Rescue Helicopter, with these operations to continue today (Friday 7 January 2022) focusing on the Bateau Bay area.
As part of their inquiries, investigators have issued CCTV footage of Bernard’s last confirmed sighting outside a bottle shop heading north along The Entrance Road at Bateau Bay about 1am on Wednesday 5 January 2022.
Police and family hold concerns for Bernard’s welfare due to his age and an existing medical condition.
Bernard is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm to 175cm tall, of slim build, bald and with blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, blue and white board shorts, black slides and a red cap. He wears a bracelet with his name on it.
Bernard is known to frequent the Umina area.
