Fatal truck crash - Dunedoo

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash near Dunedoo yesterday.

About 10.30pm on Tuesday (2 November 2021), emergency services were called to the Castlereagh Highway, approximately 1km north west from Dunedoo, following reports a B-Double truck had left the roadway and rolled down an embankment.

The driver – a 69-year-old man – died at the scene.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has been launched.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or who may have dashcam footage from the area, is urged to contact police immediately.

A report will now be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
