Woman charged over alleged drug supply - Strike Force Eliot

A woman has been charged with drug-related offences following investigations into the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney’s south-west.

In May this year, investigators attached to South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Eliot to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs – mainly methylamphetamine (ice) – across Sydney’s south-west.

Following extensive inquiries, strike force investigators, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS), executed two search warrants at units at Burwood from 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 17 November 2021).

During the searches, officers seized methylamphetamine (ice), cannabis, and a large quantity of a clear liquid believed to be a prohibited drug.

Officers also seized $53,900 cash, documentation and mobile phones.

All items seized will undergo further examination.

A 55-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), two counts of possess prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime, and two counts of owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises.

She was refused bail and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 18 November 2021).

Investigations under Strike Force Eliot are continuing.
