Charges laid after domestic-related stabbing at Woy Woy

A man has been charged after a domestic-related stabbing on the state’s Central Coast yesterday.

About 1.40pm (Sunday 12 September 2021), emergency services were called to a unit at Railway Street, Woy Woy, following reports of a domestic-related stabbing.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics and found two men, who are known to each other, injured.

A 24-year-old man was treated for a stab wound to his stomach and injuries to his hands. He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital and is expected to undergo surgery.

A 74-year-old man was treated for an injury to his head before being taken to Gosford Police Station.

He was charged with reckless wounding (DV) and granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 14 September 2021).
