Man charged over alleged sexual assault of two teenage girls - Northern Beaches

Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad detectives have charged a man over the alleged sexual assault of two teenage girls on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

In May this year, detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports two teenage girls had been sexually assaulted by a man known to them.

Following extensive inquiries, a 20-year-old man was arrested at Sutherland Police Station about 11am yesterday (Tuesday 10 August 2021).

He was charged with four counts of have sexual intercourse with child (between 14 and 16 years), and intentionally sexually touch child (between 10 and 16 years).

Police will allege in court that the man sexually assaulted the girls – then aged 14 and 16 – on numerous occasions in Sydney’s north between November 2020 and May 2021.

The Kirrawee man was refused bail and appeared at Sutherland Local Court yesterday, where he was granted strict conditional bail to reappear at Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 1 September 2021.

Investigation are continuing.
