Officer charged - Central Metropolitan Region

A police officer has been charged with drink driving after failing a random breath test at Caringbah this morning.
Officers from the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command stopped a car on President Avenue about 12.30am (Wednesday 12 May 2021), and subjected the driver to a random breath test, which returned a positive result.
The driver was taken to Sutherland Police Station and returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.081.
The off-duty officer – a 32-year-old woman attached to the Central Metropolitan Region – has been charged with mid-range PCA.
She was granted conditional bail and is expected to appear in Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 24 June 2021.
