An investigation is underway after a public place shooting at Bradbury.
About 8.30am on Monday 26 April 2021, officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended Taber Place, Bradbury, following reports a shot was fired into the front of a home.
Police were told a 47-year-old female occupant was in her lounge room about 1.30am (Monday 26 April 2021), when she heard a loud noise from outside the front of the home.
When the woman woke in the morning, she found a hole in the metal screen door at the front entrance of the home, and damage to the wooden door immediately behind it.
The occupants, the woman and a 13-year-old girl, who were home at the time, were not injured.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, officers seized a projectile from inside the home.
As investigations continue, detectives believe that although the incident was a targeted attack, it was a case of mistaken identity.
