Three people have been arrested after a man was hospitalised with stab wounds on the Central Coast today.

About 8.30am (Tuesday 27 April 2021), a 43-year-old man was seated in a Subaru on McMasters Road, Blackall, when a silver Holden Commodore pulled up beside the vehicle.

Police will allege a 38-year-old man got out of the Holden and approached the older man and engaged in an altercation.

It’s further alleged the older man was stabbed to the abdomen during the incident.

The younger man fled the scene in the Holden.

The 43-year-old was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Responding officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District observed the Commodore on Ocean View Drive, Umina, a short time later. They stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver and sole occupant, a 42-year-old woman.

Police attended a nearby home on South Street, Umina Beach, where they arrested a 38-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.

All three were taken to Gosford Police Station where they are assisting police with their inquiries.

Three crime scenes are currently being processed at Blackall, Umina and Umina Beach.
