Homeowner threatened with firearm - Seven Hills

A firearm has allegedly been produced during an attempted home invasion in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 9pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 June 2021), police responded to reports that a group of men, one armed with a firearm, had attempted to force entry into a premise in Rowley Street, Seven Hills.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command attended, secured a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police were informed that four male attended the location wearing face coverings and threatened an occupant with a sawn-off shot gun before fleeing from the scene without gaining entry.

Three people were in the home at the time.

With the assistance of the Dog Squad, officers conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area, however, the men were unable to be located.

No shots were fired and there are no reports of any injuries.

The men are described as being Pacific Islander in appearance.

Inquiries are continuing.
