Two women charged over alleged drug supply: Strike Force Caroline - Murrumbidgee PD

Two women have been charged over their alleged roles in the ongoing supply of prohibited drugs in the Murrumbidgee region.
In March 2021, officers from Murrumbidgee Police District established Strike Force Caroline to investigate the supply of cannabis and methylamphetamine in the Hay area.
As part of investigations, Murrumbidgee Police District – with assistance from the Southern Region Operational Support Group (OSG) and Murray River Police District – executed six simultaneous search warrants yesterday (Tuesday 25 May 2021). Five at Hay and one at Deniliquin.
During the searches, police seized a number of items, including cannabis, cannabis plants, methylamphetamine, prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia.
They also allegedly located weapons, including an electronic stun device, and ammunition.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested at a property on Park Street, Hay, and taken to Hay Police Station, where she was charged with supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.
She has been granted strict conditional bail to appear in Hay Local Court on Monday 5 July 2021.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested at a home on Old Racecourse Road, Deniliquin, and taken to Deniliquin Police Station, where she was charged with supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.
She was refused bail to appear in Griffith Local Court today (Wednesday 26 May 2021).
Investigations under Strike Force Caroline are ongoing.
