A teenage student has been arrested following an alleged armed robbery at a school in Sydney’s south-west this afternoon.
About 12.40pm (Friday 21 May 2021), police and emergency services were called to a school at Eagle Vale following reports of an armed robbery near the school.
On arrival, officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command were told two students, who were off school grounds, had been threatened by another male student, who was armed with a glass bottle and demanding personal items.
One of the other students was allegedly struck on the hand with the bottle, and sustained a small cut, before the boy fled the area on foot.
A search was conducted with the assistance of the Dog Unit and the 15-year-old boy was arrested on Martens Way just before 1pm.
He has been taken to Campbelltown Police Station.
Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are underway.
