Appeal to find missing boy - New England PD

Police are appealing for public information to find a boy missing in the state’s north west.

Braxton Plant, aged six, was last seen at his home on Wallangra Road, Wallangra, about 4pm yesterday (Wednesday 31 March 2021).

Emergency services were contacted about 7pm with officers attached to New England Police District commencing an investigation into Braxton’s whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as Braxton has Down Syndrome and is non-communicative. The surrounding area comprises dense bushland and dams.

When he was last seen by family members, Braxton was playing in the mud and not wearing any clothes.

A coordinated land search has been conducted and will continue today (Thursday 1 April 2021), including assistance from Polair.

Investigators urge anyone who might have information about Braxton’s whereabouts to contact New England Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
