Attempting to arrest the woman, the officer was allegedly kicked, choked, bitten on the arm, struck in the face and had hair pulled from her scalp.
Members of the public who came to the aid of the senior constable were allegedly scratched and bitten by the woman.
Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and subdued the woman. She was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station.
The 34-year-old was charged with five counts of common assault, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, destroy or damage property, assault police officer in execution of duty causing actual bodily harm, resist or hinder police officer in execution of duty, and two counts of assault person aiding officer.
She was refused bail and will appear at Waverley Local Court today (Wednesday 31 March 2021).
