Criminal Groups Squad detectives have charged a second man with allegedly shooting over 30 rounds into an occupied home in Sydney’s west earlier this year.
About 1.15am on Friday 9 May 2025, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command were called to Frank Street in Mount Druitt following reports of a shooting.
On arrival, officers were told upwards of 30 rounds were fired into a family home by an unknown gunman travelling in a dark-coloured hatchback.
Seven adults and four young children were home at the time, but no one was injured.
Officers established a crime scene and commenced inquiries before the matter was referred to State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad under Strike Force Evere.
On Monday (1 December 2025), a man was arrested and charged following a pursuit in Rooty Hill. He remains before the courts.
Following extensive investigations – including a public appeal for information – strike force detectives – with assistance from Public Order and Riot Squad officers – arrested a 31-year-old man during a planned operation on Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, about 11am today (Thursday 4 December 2025).
The man was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with fire firearm at dwelling organised criminal activity and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 7 tomorrow (Friday 5 December 2025).
Investigations under Strike Force Evere continue.
