Man dies in drowning - Crescent Head

A man has died after being pulled from the water on the state’s Mid North Coast.

About 3.20pm today (Friday 28 November 2025), emergency services were called to a beach near Point Polmer Road, Crescent Head, following reports a 59-year-old man was struggling in the water after being pulled out by a rip.

Bystanders pulled the man from the water and rendered aid before he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A reports will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
