Man dies, two arrested following shooting - Blacktown

A man has died in a public place shooting in Sydney’s west.
About 11.50am today (Friday 28 November 2025), police were called to Carinya Street, Blacktown, following reports of a public place shooting.
Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and found a man with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and leg.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but he died at the scene.
At the same time, police attempted to stop a Mazda utility that was seen leaving the scene.
When the vehicle did not stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit was terminated a short time later when the vehicle crashed on Kildare Road.
Two occupants ran from the scene and were arrested a short time later.
They have both been taken to Blacktown Police Station.
Police have established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
