Woman arrested after suspicious death near Mount Druitt - Strike Force Vado

A woman has been arrested by detectives investigating a suspicious death in Sydney’s north-west last month.

Strike Force Vado was formed to investigate after the body of an 84-year-old woman was found in her home on Comet Street, Melonba near Marsden Park, about 12.30pm (Saturday 4 October 2025).

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Following inquiries, just before 3pm today (Thursday 13 November 2025), Mount Druitt detectives arrested a 50-year-old woman in Melonba.

She has been taken to Mount Druitt Police Station, where inquiries are continuing.
