UPDATED: Two childcare workers charged with allegedly assaulting toddler - Doonside

Two childcare workers have been charged with allegedly assaulting a toddler multiple times in Sydney’s west earlier this month.

On Monday 20 October 2025, officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command received a report that multiple childcare workers had allegedly assaulted a toddler earlier this month at a Doonside childcare centre.

Police were told the workers – a 28-year-old woman and a 54-year-old woman – had allegedly assaulted the toddler multiple times on Monday 13 October 2025.

Following inquiries, police charged both women with five counts of common assault.

They were both issued court attendance notices to appear before Blacktown Local Court on Thursday 4 December 2025.
