Additional two teenagers charged following armed robbery - Moss Vale

An additional two teenagers have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in the Southern Highlands.
About 8.20pm on Friday 17 October 2025, police were called to a tobacconist on Argyle Street, Moss Vale, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District attended and were told a group of teenagers allegedly entered the store and threatened a 24-year-old man with a machete, before taking items and leaving the area on foot.
No injuries were reported in relation to the incident.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident.
About 2.20pm on Sunday 19 October 2025, officers arrested a 16-year-old boy in a park on Argyle Street, Moss Vale. Police searched the boy and allegedly located and seized house breaking implements including a pick tool and pliers, along with two knives.
He was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal <=$60000, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, possess housebreaking implements, custody of a knife in a public place and possess graffiti implement with intent to contravene s4(2).
He faced children’s court where he was granted conditional bail and will next appear in a children’s court on Tuesday 11 November 2025.
About 2.30pm on Monday 20 October 2025, police arrested a 15-year-old boy at Southern Highlands Police Station. He was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal <=$60000 and knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in a children’s court on Tuesday 11 November.
About 1pm today (Wednesday 22 October 2025), police attended a home in Moss Vale and spoke to a 13-year-old boy. He will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
On Saturday 18 October 2025, a 15-year-old boy was charged and remains before the courts.
Investigations are continuing.
