Body located in search for missing man - Breakfast Point

A body of a man has been located in water during a search for a man missing from Sydney’s west.

The 71-year-old man was last seen in Breakfast Point on Saturday 11 October 2025.

When he could not be located or contacted, officers from Burwood Police Area Command were notified on Tuesday 14 October 2025 and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

About 7.30am today (Thursday 16 October 2025), police located the body of a man in the water at Mortlake Crossing.

While yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of the missing man.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
