Fatal workplace incident - Gosford

A man has died following a workplace incident at East Gosford on the Central Coast this morning.

About 10.40am (Thursday 16 October 2025), emergency services were called to Wharf Street following reports a worker had been injured.

On arrival, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were told the man had been impaled after falling onto reinforcing bar.

The 23-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital where he died.

Police established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the incident.

SafeWork NSW have been notified.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
