Additional two people charged in the Riverina as part of Strike Force Durdin and Strike Force Coyote

An additional two people have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the Riverina.
In July 2025, Strike Force Durdin was established to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs within the Wagga Wagga area.
In August 2025, officers attached to Riverina Police District established Strike Force Coyote to investigate property offences, as result of Strike Force Durdin.
On Friday 10 October 2025, officers attached to the Region Enforcement Squad with assistance from the Operation Support Group, officers attached to Riverina Police District and the NSW Dog Unit executed a number of search warrants across the Riverina Police District.

About 10.30am on Friday 10 October 2025, officers attached to Region Enforcement Squad with assistance from the Operation Support Group and officers attached to Riverina Police District executed a search warrant at a home in Slocum Street, Wagga Wagga. Police allegedly located and seized cannabis, methylamphetamine and electronic devices for forensic examination. A 44-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station. He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug greater than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity and two counts of possess prohibited drug. He appeared in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday 11 October 2025 where he was formally refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 15 October 2025.
About 9.30am on Friday 10 October 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Wren St, Mount Austin. Police allegedly located and seized ammunition, cannabis and methylamphetamine, and a motorbike which police will allege were stolen. A 46-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station. He was charged with acquire etc ammunition subject to prohibition. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 3 December 2025.
About 9am, on Friday 10 October 2025, a search warrant was executed at a home in Gundagai Road, Junee. Police allegedly located and seized a replica glock pistol, ammunition, methylamphetamine, MDMA, property alleged to have been stolen and electronic devices. Investigations are continuing.
Since the start of the operation, 13 search warrants have been executed and 13 people have been charged, with a total of 61 offences.
