Woman charged after alleged assault outside Sydney restaurant

A woman will face court today after she allegedly assaulted another woman outside a Sydney restaurant earlier this month.
On Saturday (13 September 2025), police received a report of an alleged assault outside a restaurant in Capital Square, George Street, Sydney.
Police were told about 11.30pm on Friday 12 September 2025, a 33-year-old woman had been verbally abused by an unknown woman while in the restaurant.
The 33-year-old then left the restaurant where she was allegedly threatened and assaulted by the same unknown woman.
Police were told during the assault the 33-year-old had been scratched several times in the face and received injuries to her arms and legs.
Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command immediately commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, about 12.30am today (Wednesday 17 September 2025), police attended a unit block on Liverpool Street, Sydney, where they arrested a 21-year-old woman.
She was taken to Day Street Police Station where she was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The woman was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 7 today.
Investigations into the incident continue.
