Man dies after crash - Lake Macquarie

A man has died following single-vehicle crash at Lake Macquarie this morning.

About 10.35am (Tuesday 26 August 2025), emergency services were called to Newcastle Link Road, Cameron Park, following reports of a crash.

At the scene, officers were told a sedan had crashed into a guard rail.

The driver, a 73-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the John Hunter Hospital.

Police have now been advised the driver died in hospital.

Inquiries into the incident are underway by police attached to Lake Macquarie Police District.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
