Man charged with multiple break and enter offences - Wollongong

A man has been charged with multiple break and enter offences in the Wollongong area.

On Tuesday 13 August 2025, officers attached to Wollongong Police District attended a unit complex in Railway Street, Corrimal, following reports several storage cages had been broken into.

Police allege between 2:30am and 3:10am on Tuesday (12 August 2025), a man broke into 8 storage cages.

Following inquiries, about 1:30pm on the same day, police arrested a 23-year-old man on Jones Place, Corrimal.

He was taken Wollongong Police Station where he was charged with:

• Break and enter house with intent to steal (seven counts)
• Break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000
• Goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen
• Possess prohibited drug

He was refused bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 2 September 2025.
