Man arrested after shooting in Nana Glen - Coffs-Clarence Police District

A man remains in police custody after an alleged shooting in the state’s north overnight.
About 8.30pm yesterday (Saturday 9 August 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Orara Way, Nana Glen, about 30km north of Coffs Harbour, following reports of a shooting.
Officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Police District were told a 22-year-old man was allegedly shot by a man following an argument.
The injured man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
About 30 minutes later, officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command stopped an SUV on Carrall Close, Coffs Harbour, and arrested a 20-year-old man.
Police searched the vehicle and seized a rifle for a forensic examination.
The man has been taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station.
Strike Force Canova has been formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
