Fatal crash - Moree

A man has died following a crash in Moree earlier today.

About 11.50am today (Friday 8 August 2025), emergency services were called to Frome Street following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to New England Police District attended and found a trail bike had left the roadway before crashing into a power pole.

The rider – a 26-year-old man – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Moree Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police were later notified that about 6.30pm the man had died in hospital.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
