Two charged after more than $67,000 cash, weapons and drugs seized - Cowra

A man and woman will face court charged following an investigation into drug supply in the state’s Central West.
In December 2023, investigators attached to Chifley Police District established Strike Force Jeffre to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Cowra area.
About 6am yesterday (Wednesday 4 September 2024), strike force officers executed a search warrant at a home on Dungaleer Street, Cowra.
Officers allegedly located and seized methylamphetamine, more than $67,000 in cash, prohibited weapons, a paintball gun, almost 200 buprenorphine strips, mobile phones, a laptop, handcuffs, fireworks, and a Ford Raptor utility.
A 39-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Cowra Police Station.
The man was charged with supply prohibited drug over large commercial quantity, two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, supply prohibited drug over indictable and under commercial quantity, possess paintball marker outside authorised paintball venue, and deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Orange Local Court today (Thursday 5 September 2024).
She was charged with supply prohibited drug over indictable and under commercial quantity, and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.
The woman was given conditional bail to appear at Cowra Local Court on Wednesday 25 September 2024.
