Appeal for information following serious crash - Auburn

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Sydney’s west.
About 5pm on Tuesday 3 September 2024, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were called to Chiswick Road, Auburn following reports of a crash between a bicycle and a car.
Police were told a black Honda Civic collided with a man riding a pushbike, causing the rider to impact heavily with the vehicle and then the ground.
The driver of the Civic, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing.
The rider of the bike, a man in his 60's, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
Police are also seeking any witnesses who were in or near the roundabout at Chiswick Rod and Chisholm Rd, Auburn between 5pm-5:30pm to come forward.
