Police officer fined - Specialist Command

A NSW Police officer has been fined for alleged drink driving and speeding.

Traffic and Highway Patrol police were conducting speed enforcement checks and stopped the 31-year-old man – who is attached to a specialist command – on Old Windsor Road, Bella Vista, shortly before 5am today (Thursday 29 August 2024).

The man, who was off duty at the time, allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test.

The senior constable was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station for subsequent analysis.

The officer was issued two infringement notices for drive with low range PCA and exceed speed limit more than 10kph - Lidar.

He was issued with a suspension notice.

The officer’s employment is currently under review.
