Ten people charged following arrests during Strike Force Greatrex

NSW Police Force have charged 10 people and seized more than $500,000 worth of prohibited drugs as part of a months-long investigation across Sydney.
In February 2024, Central Metro Regional Enforcement Squad South established Strike Force Greatrex to investigate the supply of drugs in the Sydney area.
As part of Strike Force Greatrex, in total 6.5kg of MDMA, 2.1kg of cocaine, 730g of methylamphetamine and 1kg of ketamine has been seized.
Following extensive investigations, police, with the assistance of specialist units, executed five search warrants at homes in Alexandria, Sydney, Botany, Auburn and Caringbah South on Thursday 22 August 2024, where six people were arrested and charged with more than 90 offences.
As part of the search warrants, police seized 1kg of ketamine, 1.5kg of cocaine, 230g of methylamphetamine, 2.4kg of MDMA, 500g of crystal methylamphetamine and almost $220,000 in cash.
Police estimate the street value of drugs seized during the warrants was more than $500,000.
Officers also seized a Mercedes and Audi vehicle, which had a combined value of $170,000.
Police arrested a 38-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman at a home on Ralph Street, Alexandria.
The man was charged with 60 offences including supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, knowingly direct activities of criminal group and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
The woman was charged with 18 offences including take part supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
They were refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 23 August 2024 where they were formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Friday 18 October 2024.
Police will allege in court the man was supplying 1kg of ketamine, 230g of methylamphetamine and 370g of MDMA in exchange for $62,500 at the time of his arrest.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at a home on Bathurst Street, Sydney, and charged with six offences including knowingly direct activities of criminal group, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 23 August 2024 where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Friday 18 October 2024.
A 61-year-old woman was arrested at a home on Bay Street, Botany, and charged with five offences of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and deal with property proceeds of crime.
She was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court where she was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 22 October 2024.
A 30-year-old man was arrested at North Strathfield and charged with three offences of supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, deal with property proceeds of crime and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court and was granted bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 23 October 2024.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at a home on Jacaranda Road, Caringbah South, and charged with 11 offences including possess unauthorised pistol, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable quantity and less than commercial quantity and deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Monday 9 September 2024.
Following further inquiries, about 2.15pm on Friday 23 August 2024, officers executed search warrants at a home on Palmgrove Road, Avalon Beach and an industrial building on Apollo Street, Warriewood.
Police seized about $90,000 worth of prohibited drugs, $25,000 worth of silver bullion and coins, and $22,500 cash.
A 34-year-old man was arrested at the home and charged with 11 offences including supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and deal with property proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday 24 August 2024 and was granted bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 22 October 2024.
About 7am on Tuesday 27 August 2024, police executed three search warrants at homes in Pemulwuy, Wetherill Park and Smithfield, where $192,000 worth of drugs, including 4kg of MDMA and 260g of cocaine, was seized along with $34,400 cash.
A 39-year-old man was arrested at Wetherill Park during a vehicle stop.
He was charged with six offences including supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity, deal with property proceeds of crime and participate in criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The man was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
A 35-year-old man was arrested at a home in Oxford Street, Smithfield and charged with four offences including take part supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity and participate in criminal group contribute criminal activity.
He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 28 August 2024.
A 37-year-old man was arrested at a home in Warin Avenue, Pemulwuy, and charged with supply prohibited drug greater than indictable quantity and less than commercial quantity and possess prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 18 September 2024.
