A man and five youths arrested after delivery rider assaulted - Glebe

A man and five youths have been arrested after a delivery rider was assaulted in Glebe last month.
About 1am on Monday (15 April 2024), police were called to Glebe Point Road, Glebe, following reports of an assault.
Police were told a delivery rider was allegedly assaulted by a group of people as he attempted to make a delivery; however, the group – including the rider – left the scene before the arrival of police.
Following inquires, officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command have arrested a man and 5 youths.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy about 7.30pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024. He was charged with drive conveyance taken without consent of owner and affray and was granted conditional bail to appear at Children's Court on Wednesday 29 May 2024.
Police arrested a 12-year-old boy about 10.30am on Tuesday 23 April 2024. He will participate in a Youth Conference at a later date.
Police arrested a 16-year-old girl about 11.10am on Wednesday 24 April 2024. She was taken to Burwood Police Station where she was charged with affray, assault occasioning ABH in company of other(s), and armed with intent commit indictable offence. She was bail refused to appear before a Children’s Court on Friday 14 June 2024.
Police arrested a 12-year-old girl about 3.55pm on Saturday 27 April 2024 at Balmain Police Station. She will participate in a Youth Conference at a later date.
Police arrested a 14-year-old boy about 1.45pm on Sunday 28 April 2024. He was taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with affray. He was bail refused to appear before a Children’s Court on Monday 6 May 2024.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man on Glebe Street Glebe, about 4.30pm on Wednesday 1 May 2024. He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with affray and assault occasioning ABH in company of other(s). He was bail refused to appear before Newtown Local Court today (Thursday 2 May 2024).
