Fatal crash - Ku-Ring-Gai PAC

A man has died following a multiple vehicle crash in Sydney’s north this morning.

Just before 4.40am (Monday 15 April 2024), emergency services were called to the Pacific Motorway, approximately two kilometres north of the Wahroonga exit, after reports of a head on crash.

Officers attached to Ku Ring Gai Police Area Command were told a vehicle traveling south bound collided with three vehicles travelling north bound.

A male driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated three drivers at the scene.


A 96-year-old man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for mandatory testing and minor injuries.

A truck driver, believed to be aged in his 40s, was taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing.

A male driver, age unknown, was also taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with minor injuries and for mandatory testing.

An investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared with the information of the Coroner.

All north bound lanes are closed, and localised traffic diversions are in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
