Further charges laid following fatal stabbing - Doonside

A teenage boy will appear in court today charged over his alleged role following a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s west.

About 3.40pm on Friday (12 April 2024), emergency services were called following reports two teenagers had been stabbed on Power Street, Doonside.

Before police attended, two males – aged 18 and 19 – presented to Blacktown Police Station with stab wounds.

They were treated officers until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, the 18-year-old died at the scene, while the 19-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital where he underwent surgery. He remains in stable condition.

Following inquiries, a 16-year-old boy was arrested a short time later and charged. He remains before the courts.

Officers from Blacktown PAC with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad commenced an investigation into the incident under Strike Force Cooey.

Following further inquiries, investigators attended a Jordan Springs home about 10.30pm yesterday (Saturday 13 April 2024) and arrested a 17-year-old boy.

He was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to murder and accessory after the fact to cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.

The teen has been refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Sunday 14 April 2024).
