Appeal after man dies following Manly assault

Police are appealing for information following the death of a man assaulted on Sydney’s Northern Beaches last month.

Detectives attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command have been investigating the assault about 5:45pm on Tuesday 27 February 2024, of a 59-year-old man at a unit complex on Pittwater Road, Manly.

The man was treated at the scene for serious head injuries by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

Detectives – who formed Strike Force Flat to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident – have now been advised the man died last Friday (15 March 2024).

As inquiries continue, detectives are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time or have information regarding the incident.
