Man charged following sexual assault investigation - Kings Cross

A man remains in custody after being charged following an investigation into a sexual assault at Potts Point last August.

On Thursday 18 August 2023, a 31-year-old woman reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted by a man at a business on Kellett Street.

Following extensive inquiries by detectives attached to Kings Cross Police Area Command, investigators arrested a 65-year-old man about 8.15am today (Monday 18 March 2023) t Kings Cross Police Station.

The man was charged with sexual assault without consent and intentionally choke person without consent.

He was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 18 March 2024.
