Man dies in hospital following alleged stabbing - Guildford

A man has died in hospital as investigations continue into an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s west last week.

About 1.10pm Sunday 10 March 2024, emergency services were called to a home at Rawson Road, Guildford, following reports of a stabbing.

A 46-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a wound to his neck, and taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

Detectives attached to Cumberland Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident under Strike Force Soling.

A 47-year-old man, known to the man, was charged at the time and remains before the court.

On Wednesday 13 March 2024 police were told that the 46-year-old man had died in hospital.

Investigations under Strike Force Soling continue.
