Appeal for information following alleged hit and run crash - Kirrawee

Police are appealing to the public for information following a crash involving an e-bike at Kirrawee last night in which two boys were injured.
Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway about 9.40pm (Saturday 26 July 2025), after reports of a crash involving a silver Toyota Echo and an e-bike being ridden by a 16-year-old boy with a 15-year-old pillion passenger.
The teens were thrown onto the verge by the impact from behind; however, the car was driven from the scene without stopping.
The older boy suffered a fractured right leg and head injuries and was taken to St George Hospital, while the other boy suffered minor injuries and was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital.
Acting on information, the vehicle was found abandoned in Argyle Place, Kareela, a short time later.
The vehicle has been seized by police for forensic examination.
Inquiries are now underway by officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit (CIU).
