Man arrested after pursuit of stolen truck through Western Sydney

A man is in custody after the pursuit of a stolen truck across Sydney’s west this morning.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were patrolling Luddenham Road, Luddenham, about 8.50am (Monday 21 July 2025), when they saw a truck which had been reported stolen from a business on Fifteenth Avenue, Austral, a short time earlier.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, and continued north on Elizabeth Drive and Luddenham Road, onto Mamre Road before heading westbound onto the M4 Motorway.
The vehicle has then u-turned at Russell Street, Penrith, and continued east on the M4 where the driver stopped due to heavy traffic.
The alleged driver, a 51-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where inquiries continue.
Police have been told an employee at the business was crushed between two trucks when the vehicle was allegedly taken. He has been treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital. His condition is not known. Two other employees have been treated for cuts and bruising allegedly suffered in the incident.
