Criminal Groups Squad detectives have charged a man, who is alleged to have links to an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG), for allegedly operating a drug supply and money laundering network.
Strike Force Torino was established by State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad to investigate the alleged supply of prohibited drugs, money laundering and OMCG associations of two men.
Following extensive inquiries, about 8.30am yesterday (Wednesday 16 July 2025), strike force detectives arrested a 26-year-old man at Double Bay.
He was taken to Waverley Police Station.
A short time later, detectives executed three search warrants – one at a house on Court Road, Double Bay and two at separate properties in Wallacia.
During the search of the Double Bay property, police located several electronic devices, including devices believed to be Dedicated Encrypted Criminal Communication Devices (DECCD) and an amount of cash.
A search of a vehicle at the property also led police to discover a DECCD and an amount of white powder, suspected to be cocaine.
During a search of a property on Peter Pan Avenue, Wallacia – with the assistance of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and the Dog Unit - police located a roof cavity in the garage that contained a pistol wrapped in a glove, an amount of ammunition, an amount of tablets believed to be MDMA, OC spray, electronic devices and other items consistent with the manufacture of prohibited drugs.
At the third search warrant on Davenport Drive, Wallacia, police located an amount of prohibited drugs, a hard drive and items consistent with the manufacture of prohibited drugs.
All items were seized for forensic examination.
The 26-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug more than or equal to large commercial quantity, deal with property proceeds of crime, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Thursday 17 July 2025).
Police will allege in court the 26-year-old man directed a network of young males to supply prohibited drugs across the Sydney metropolitan area.
Two other men – aged 21 and 25 – have been charged under Strike Force Torino. They remain before the courts.
