Rider seriously injured in crash - Orange

The rider of an electric bike has been seriously injured following a crash in the states west.
About 12.50pm yesterday (Monday 14 July 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between an electric bike and a silver Suzuki Swift at the intersection of Clinton and Dalton Streets, Orange.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 75-year-old male rider at the scene before he was taken to Orange Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from Central West Police District attended the scene and established a crime scene that was later examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
Police were informed that after the collision the vehicle failed to stop and drove from the scene.
Following inquiries about 4.50pm that afternoon police attended a home on Margaret Street, Orange, and arrested a 19-year-old woman.
A silver Suzuki Swift was also seized from the same location for forensic examination.
The woman was taken to Orange Police Station and later released pending further inquiries.
