Search to continue to locate man missing from state's north

A search for a man missing from the state’s north is set to resume this morning after he went missing yesterday afternoon.

Darcy Deesholts, age 19, left his home in Wooli on a bicycle about 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 July 2025) towards Wooli Beach.

When he failed to return home, concerned family members contacted officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District.

Concerns are held for Darcy’s welfare as his disappearance is out of character.

A search commenced around Wooli Beach including local police, PolAir, Marine Area Command and Marine Rescue; however, Darcy could not be located.

A land and water search is expected to resume at first light today (Thursday 10 July 2025).

Darcy is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of slim build, about 180cm tall, with black hair.
