Four teenagers arrested after aggravated break and enter - Moree

Four teenagers have been arrested following an aggravated break and enter at a home in the state’s west.

Police were called to a home on Boston Street, Moree, about 5:30am today (Monday 7 July 2025), after four people – one allegedly armed with a box cutter – forced their way inside.

An 83-year-old woman, who was the only occupant in the house, was threatened and knocked to the ground. The four people then ran from the house.

Officers attached to New England Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene. The woman was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment. She was later released with minor injuries.

Following inquiries by police, four teenagers, ranging in age from 12-years-old to 14-years-old, were arrested and taken to Moree Police Station.

A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy have been dealt with under the Young Offender’s Act.

A 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy will be charged with Breach of Bail and Aggravated Break and Enter Offences.
