Inquiries continue after stabbing at house party - Chifley

Investigations are underway following a stabbing at a house party in the Eastern Beaches area last night.
About 8.20pm (Saturday 5 July 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a house party on Carnegie Court, Chifley.
On arrival, Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were told a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were at the front of the house when they were approached by approximately 10 people – two who were armed with machetes.
The 16-year-old was assaulted and stabbed before the group left the scene.
The 18-year-old man was uninjured.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the boy for lacerations to his back and legs. He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established, and police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe the incident was targeted.
