Man charged after pursuit - South Coast

A man has been charged following a pursuit on the South Coast yesterday.
About 2.45pm (Thursday 3 July 2025), officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol and South Coast Police District attempted to stop a sedan at Hillcrest Ave, South Nowra, following reports the vehicle was driving erratically on the Princes Highway at Falls Creek.
When the alleged driver did not stop, a pursuit was initiated.
As the pursuit continued through Nowra, the sedan was allegedly involved in minor collisions with two vehicles. No injuries were reported.
The sedan then crashed into a concrete median strip near the Nowra Bridge, deflating both front tyres.
The pursuit continued east on Bolong Road where road spikes were successfully deployed.
The vehicle came to a stop on Bolong Road, Shoalhaven Heads, following a minor collision with a marked police vehicle.
The driver - a 31-year-old man - was arrested at the scene and taken to Nowra Police Station.
He was charged with drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously, intentionally throw object at vehicle/vessel risk safety, two counts of not give particulars to other driver, driver use mobile phone when not permitted, and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 4 July 2025).
