Homicide Squad detectives have charged two teenagers over the fatal stabbing of a man in Pemulwuy last week.

About 10.45pm on Thursday 26 June 2025, emergency services were called to Driftway Drive in Pemulwuy, following reports that a man had been stabbed.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told two unknown men, dressed in dark clothing and disguises, had set upon the 21-year-old when he and his girlfriend arrived at the address.

The man managed to get back into his car and drive a short distance before being overcome by his injuries.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man; however, he could not be revived and died at the scene.

He has since been identified as 21-year-old Luke Manassa.

The matter was referred to State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad who established Strike Force Hickety to investigate.

About 6am yesterday (Thursday 3 July 2025), strike force detectives – with assistance from Cumberland Police Area Command and Raptor Squad – executed simultaneous search warrants in South Penrith, Mt Druitt, and Woodcroft.

In South Penrith, police arrested a 17-year-old male. He was taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with murder and fail to comply with digital evidence access order direction.

The teenager was refused bail to appear in a children’s court today (Friday 4 July 2025).

A 16-year-old male was arrested in Mt Druitt. He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where he was charged with murder.

He was also refused bail to appear in a children’s court today.

During the search warrant in Woodcroft, police seized what they will allege was used as the getaway car from a separate residence.

Investigations under Strike Force Hickety are continuing.
